Growing up in a small town in the mountains of British Columbia, Katriona Drijber’s functional pottery draws heavily on the plant and animal forms that surrounded her in childhood. Her work examines the relationships humans cultivate with each other as well as the natural landscape, and the transitional zone between the domestic and the outside worlds.
Drijber's work has been included in numerous exhibitions in Canada and the U.S. She recently concluded a long-term residency at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, MT. Recent exhibitions of her work include Cup: The Intimate Object X at the Charlie Cummings Gallery, The Yunomi Invitational at AKAR, and Spoon Me! International Spoon Show. Currently, Drijber makes her home in the small town of Coleman, Alberta.
